Cordwood Venezuela

An Eco Cordwood Cabana for hot, humid climes in Venezuela.

Built by the Peace Village Foundation.

With all the horror taking place in our world, it is so refreshing to see good things. Here is a shining example: Eco Cabana’s in Venezuela built by the Peace Village Foundation. The concept is to orient them to the prevailing wind, so they encourage over and under wind flow. The cordwood mixed with bottle ends creates light and offers a soothing sound when the wind blows over the bottle mouths. So listen to what the wind is whispering. The corrugated metal roofing is also used for water collection. These are inexpensive and efficient building methods for southern climes.  More information on the eco cabana at https://www.dwell.com/article/venezuelas-eco-cabanas-c23dd55d
